Two different notions of time
The most fundamental difference between a PowerPoint file and a PDF is not colour, resolution or file size — it is time.
A PowerPoint presentation carries a timeline within itself. For every element it stores information about when it will appear, in what order it will arrive, and how long it will take to emerge. When the presentation is run, that timeline is executed and the content unfolds over time.

What to do before converting
